Updated: 2009-06-20 19:44 ZAGREB: Chinese President Hu Jintao and his Croatian counterpart Stjepan Mesic met here Saturday to discuss ways of enhancing the all-round cooperative partnership between the two countries.
Chinese diplomats said the two leaders would also exchange views on important regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The China-Croatia ties have developed steadily since the two countries established diplomatic relations 17 years ago. The bilateral relations have entered a new era since the two countries forged an all-round cooperative partnership in 2005. Croatia is the last leg of President Hu's three-nation tour. Earlier, Hu attended a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and a summit of BRIC countries -- Brazil, Russia, India and China, in Russia's Yekaterinburg, and paid state visits to Russia and Slovakia. |
