Students sign love pact before entering college
(China Daily)
Updated: 2009-06-03 08:49 A written agreement between two college students has attracted some public attention for its unusual nature. The pact requires them to wait for one another and it will expire only if one of them dies. The two hammered out a list of rules for both to follow, including one that requires them to say each other's name silently before meals. They were high school classmates in Nantong, Jiangsu province, and moved to different cities for college. It took them two weeks to draft the agreement and their parents and roommates served as witnesses. The 35-article agreement surprised many people. (Yangtze Evening News) |
