Chinese President appoints new ambassadors

BEIJING - Chinese President Hu Jintao has appointed six new ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature.

Bian Yanhua was appointed ambassador to the Republic of Mauritius, replacing Gao Yuchen.

Wei Qiang was appointed ambassador to Barbados, replacing Liu Huanxing.

Fu Yuancong was appointed ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, replacing Su Jian.

Deng Hongbo was appointed ambassador to the Republic of Kenya, replacing Zhang Ming.

Li Fushun was appointed ambassador to the Gabonese Republic, replacing Xue Jinwei.

Liu Huanxing was appointed ambassador to the Republic of Botswana, replacing Ding Xiaowen.
