Mastiff owner dies running after raging dog

A man frantically trying to stop his mastiff dog from attacking neighbors died suddenly from a heart attack.

Li Shutian, a farmer in Laishui, Hebei province, has kept the 1-meter high dog as his watchdog for years until it behaved strangely on Monday and began to bite several people around.

After he rushed out of his home to control the dog, he fell down and died.

Nine people were bitten that day and three were hospitalized in critical condition.

Villagers cornered the dog and killed it.
