Accidental bump in bus leads to willful smack

A middle-aged woman has sued a bus company because a male passenger attacked her after she accidentally bumped into him.

The woman surnamed Li, 45, suffered a broken nasal bone during the incident. The bus driver didn't intervene or called police until the man exited the bus, she said.

She said her right to a safe ride was violated and she wants the company to pay part of her medical expenses to fix her nose.

A court in the Chaoyang district of Beijing accepted the case.
