A man in Weihai, Shandong province, provided a counterfeit savings certificate to his fianc in order to annoy her and get out of the relationship.

When Qu was asked to fix their marriage date last November, he sent her a certificate with a face value of 138,000 yuan.

When she tried a few days later to withdraw the money from the bank, bank workers called police because the document was a fake.
