Swindler abandons young bride at banquet table

A bride who was abandoned at the banquet table is seeking police help after the groom turned out to be a con man.

She said the man stole her chastity and money before he disappeared in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, on Wednesday.

The woman 21, of Hubei province, met the man surnamed Jing who is from Hunan province one year ago and they quickly started to date.

Some residents said they know the man has been a groom many times and suspected something was wrong. Police are investigating.
