Landlord finds tenant's dead daughter in suitcase

The dead, decomposed corpse of a young girl was recently uncovered, two years after her mother killed her and hid the body.

The landlord found the body in Xinqiao village, Chongqing municipality, which was stored in a suitcase.

The mother Yang Miao said that after she got divorced, she became frustrated dealing with the stubborn girl and accidentally strangled her.

According to Yang, she cried over her daughter's body for a day then applied smashed camphor on the corpse, wrapped it up with plastic bags, stored it a suitcase and left it in a rented storage room.

The landlord found the body after Yang failed to pay the rent for the space. The case is still under investigation.
