Farmers in Daping village, Leshan, Sichuan province, have finally learned what happened to 30 missing calves. Large wild dogs have been mauling them.

The calves have been slowly disappearing starting six months ago while they were out grazing in a mountainous area. Officials investigated but came up clueless.

In March, a farmer witnessed a calf being attacked and eaten by the dogs. On Tuesday, the police killed one of the dogs and are searching for the other.
