Hunter mistakes woman for animal in mountain

A hunter in Daxian county, Sichuan province, was recently arrested after he shot a woman he thought was a young deer.

Surnamed Sun, the man and his dog visited the mountain near his home to hunt. After his dog barked at something, he fired at a moving object he thought was a muntjak. However, it was a woman from a nearby village cutting grass.

Sun took the woman to a hospital but was arrested for illegally carrying a gun and for shooting the woman.
