Teen advertises for new father by holding up sign

A 17-year-old girl got plenty of stares when she held up a cardboard with an advertisement inviting a man to marry her mother.

The girl walked around with the board along a street in Zhengzhou, Henan province, on Wednesday.

The board read, "Seeking a spouse for my mother."

Li Hui said her mother Li Zhanxia was once a model worker and won many honors in the city of Sanmenxia, Henan province.

She was disfigured in a traffic accident last year. The girl said her father and mother divorced four years ago and they also need a new breadwinner.
