Dumped man asks police to help win back girlfriend

A broken-hearted man tried in vain to win back his girlfriend so he asked police in the Chongqing municipality to give it a try.

The man, surnamed Tan, 29, met a girl surnamed Li last July and then fell in love with her. However, Li left Tan two months ago and he's been trying to get her back ever since.

On Saturday, Tan waited outside Li's house until she emerged and begged her to take him back but she refused.

He walked into the police station and cried as he asked the police to help but they just tried to make him feel better.
