Farmers could win tractor during opera contest

Farmers stand to win a brand new tractor during an opera competition in Qinqiang, Shaanxi province.

The local government is behind the event they hope will enrich the cultural life of local farmers. Qinqiang opera is one of the Chinese traditional operas mainly performed in northwest China.

The competition will take place March 18 to 23 and the winner of the competition will be rewarded with a 30,000-yuan ($4,380) tractor.
