"Stability and development in Pakistan also works for peace and stability in south Asia and the world," Qin said.

Qin made the remarks in response to a reporter's question on the  reinstatement of Pakistani Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry', a decision announced by Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani Monday morning as a way to end political turmoil in the country.

"We have noted the latest development in Pakistan. As a friendly neighbor, China sincerely wishes political stability and economic development in Pakistan," Qin told a regular press briefing here.
