Colliery gas poisons 6 in N. China city

HOHHOT  -- A carbon monoxide poisoning accident happened at 10:30 p.m. Monday at a coal mine in Ordos, a city in northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, sickening six people seriously, the local coal bureau confirmed Tuesday.

The six poisoned at Luxinju Coal Mine in Jungar Banner of Ordos have been hospitalized locally. They were all in critical condition, the bureau said.

Cause of the accident is not available at present.
