XI'AN -- A sudden landslide that occurred Thursday night has left four villagers dead and another missing in the outskirt of Ankang City in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, rescuers said on Friday morning.

A total of 11 people were buried when the landslide engulfed three houses by a hill side in Hanwei Village at around 10:00 p.m., said Yuan Zishun, head of the District Government of Hanbin, where the accident happened.
