Thief learns digesting blades a blunt idea

A thief in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, swallowed two small blades in an attempt to avoid punishment, but he made the wrong call.

Police arrested Ding Fengjun, 29, in March last year and he was released after police found pieces of iron in his stomach.

On Sunday, Ding was arrested when he tried to steal a mobile phone from a man and then quickly swallowed two blades. This time, he was taken to the hospital and then to jail.
