Roommates at birth and 30 years later as mothers

Two women who were born in the same delivery room at the same hospital on the same day 30 years ago, also gave birth on the same day in Wuhan, capital of the province, last week.

Zhao Riling gave birth on Thursday to a 3.75 kg boy at 7:57 pm and Du Dou also delivered a boy, who weighed 4.35 kg, an hour later at 8:58 pm.

Both Zhao and Du delivered via caesarean section operations and are sharing the same ward at the Hubei hospital.

Zhao Yumei, a doctor at the hospital, said she never came across such a case during the last 30 years.

In addition, both of their husbands are from Shandong province.

And Zhao and Du, both born on October 30 in 1979, have agreed to raise their sons as brothers.
