Hu talks with Zardari on phone

President Hu Jintao yesterday told Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari that the Chinese government pays great attention to the bilateral relationship and is keen to make joint efforts to push the strategic cooperative partnership to a new high.

Hu spoke with the Pakistani leader, who was in Shanghai, by telephone and told him that exchanges and cooperation between the two countries are increasingly deepening in political, economic and cultural sectors.

Zardari, who visited Wuhan and Shanghai from Friday till yesterday, thanked China for its warm reception, saying he was pleased with his visit.
