Dead woman's children leave her coffin unburied

Eight adult children placed their mother's coffin next to her late husband's tomb for more than 100 days following her death.

On Sunday, her coffin was still left near the tomb in a village near Jiutai, Jilin province, according to reports.

The children's action violates the local rule that calls for the dead to be buried or cremated within 72 hours.

Since her death, her children have quarreled over how to share the farmland and her funeral expenses.
