Zhang is loud and proud about his clapping skills

A man in Chongqing municipality has been wowing his friends with his special ability -- clapping at 108 dB.

Zhang Quan, 71, a resident in Jiulongpo, has practiced the skill for decades and said: "I found my clapping was very loud when I was young. I worked hard to exercise."

Zhang's clapping was measured at 108 dB at one performance by the local environment administrative bureau. A train whistle is about 100 dB, while the sound of an aircraft taking off can reach 130 dB.
