Crook caught trying to sell game cards back to owner

A bungling thief was caught after he attempted to sell his haul of stolen pre-paid game cards back to their rightful owner.

Lan Minghua's newsstand in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, had been raided last Monday night, with the crook taking 10,000 yuan ($1,460) in cards. But the next day he came back pretending to be a salesman - and offered to sell her the same cards back.

Lan called for help and the thief was quickly stopped by passersby, who marched him to the local police station where he confessed.
