Murderer of six people executed

CHANGCHUN: A farmer who killed six villagers and injured several others in Jilin province in 2007 was executed yesterday.

Liu Liliang, 40, a farmer in Nong'an county, stabbed Yao Wenda after picking a quarrel with him while they were drinking in a restaurant in Helong township on Sept 11. Liu then went on a killing spree, murdering six people in Sunwobu village with whom he had disputes over money.

Police detained Liu four days later. He was sentenced to death by a local court last April.
