Smoker's promise nets $58,000 lottery reward

A smoker in Chongqing municipality who was promised lottery tickets if he quit cigarettes for a month has won 400,000 yuan ($58,390).

Lottery fan Jiang was persuaded to kick the killer habit for 30 days in return for several tickets by his wife when they went shopping last week.

And on Thursday he got his reward when his numbers came up, netting him the cash.
