A woman in Chongqing municipality was turned down after she tried to freeze her eggs for future childbearing.

She went to the local hospital on Wednesday to talk with doctors about saving her eggs so she could have a child later. She didn't want to get pregnant this year and possibly lose her job.

Gong, 28, a manager in a local import and export company, wants to have the baby after the financial crisis is over.

Doctors advised her against the idea and told her it was fine to wait a year or two.
