Calcified fetus found in 90-year-old woman

Doctors were surprised to discover a calcified fetus inside a 90-year-old woman's stomach, which died 58 years earlier.

The woman, from Qingshen county, Sichuan province, had reported no health problems from the fetus.

However, when Huang Yijun, felt serious stomachache and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, doctors found the fetus.

The woman said that she was pregnant in 1948 but was too poor to afford surgery to remove the fetus.

Her pain was not related to the fetus and doctors opted to leave it alone.
