Stray dog finds gig as traffic police assistant

A stray dog has found a new friend, as well as a job, ever since he was found by a police officer in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province.

The blonde dog, which is 1.2 m long and 1 m tall, has become a "police dog" and works with traffic officer Chen Guangyan.

The dog arrived at the office when Chen starts his workday and leaves when the officer clocks out. The dog also seems to understand traffic as it always stops when the light turns red and continues to walk when it's green.

Chen has denied he's the owner of the dog, and said he expects the real owner to show up soon to claim the pet.
