A woman in Chongqing municipality managed to use her only available finger to dial for help last Friday although she was tied with her hands behind her back.

Li Li (not her real name), 20, woke up to find that a stranger was standing in front of her in the morning.

"The man with a knife said he wanted money and would harm me if I resisted him, and then he tied me up," she said.

She said the man took 10,000 yuan ($1,460) from her house.

After the robber ran away, the woman got down from her bed and used the one free finger to push the phone numbers to call her mother. Afterwards, they called police.
