Thieves make short work of motorbike's locks

A man had to seek help from police after thieves still managed to make off with the new motorbike he had secured with six locks in Wuhan, Hubei province, on Wednesday.

Yang who lives in the Dongfang garden estate in the city's Hongshan district, found his motorbike had been stolen when he was alerted by his vehicle's anti-theft alarm system at about 4:30 am.

He later learned from security cameras that his motorbike was carried onto a truck.

Yang, who spent a total of 5,600 yuan ($820) to buy the motorbike 18 day ago, said he had no idea how the thieves got his motobike to the truck outside the housing estate, when he had used six locks to secure it.
