Taiwan's Combat Orchestra comes to the Egg

On January 11th, Taiwan's Lien Ya-Wen Combat Orchestra came to the National Centre for the Performing Arts "Weekend Concert" to show Beijing audiences a Combat Orchestra concert. They played some well-known foreign percussion music by hundreds of percussion instrumentalists, such as Metric Lips and Gayaneh.

The Taiwan Lien Ya-Wen Combat Orchestra is one of the highest levels of professional Taiwan percussion teams. Currently they are conducting a performance tour which includes stops in Shenyang, Tianjin and Beijing, the last leg of the tour.

Audience: This is my first time watching the percussion performance. It's good. I hope I can enjoy it for a second time.

Lien Ya-Wen: Artistic Director of Lien Ya-Wen Combat Orchestra Beijing audiences are more enthusiastic than I expected. They know music very well. Yesterday I went to a children's club and spent some time there with them. They are very smart. Beating is easier to learn.

Prior to the concert, Lien Ya-Wen Combat Orchestra held a public space "percussion face-to-face" activity, with the audience and percussion enthusiasts learning the skills together.
