Candidate namelist of premier, CMC vice-chairpersons, members finalized

BEIJING  -- The candidate for Chinese premier was finalized Saturday afternoon, along with those for vice-chairpersons and members of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the country, and the country's top judge and procurator-general.

The namelists of the candidates will be put on voting on Sunday at a plenary meeting of the First Session of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC).

The candidates for premier and CMC vice-chairpersons and members were nominated by newly-reelected President Hu Jintao, also CMC chairman, while the candidates for the top judge and procurator-general were nominated by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

All delegations to the NPC approved the candidate namelists after discussion on Saturday afternoon, and the presidium then decided to put the candidates for voting on Sunday.
