Gale force winds blow man off roof into tree

A young man was blown into a 15-m-high tree and stranded there while reinforcing a steel plate structure atop his house in high winds on Sunday.

Firefighters hurried to the site in Beijing's Shijingshan district and found him clinging to the tree with his arms and legs.

It took about 20 minutes to bring him down using a long ladder.

This winter's strongest winds swept Beijing at the weekend with gale-force gusts recorded on the outskirts of the city.
