Businessman's expensive ad wins sweetheart's hand

A young man recently popped the question on the front page of China's most popular shopping website and duly got the nod from his love.

Xu Wenxue, a business representative from Guangdong province, fell in love with a woman surnamed Qian at first glance when they met 10 days ago.

Xu purchased the front page of Taobao.com, China's most popular online auction website, to propose because Qian often shopped on it.

A wealthy man, the 200,000-yuan ($29,200) daily rate didn't deter him and obviously did the trick because the couple will marry next Wednesday.
