Two students in Guizhou province walked 300 km from their hometown after being criticized by their teacher.

Wu, 13, and Yang, 12, two students in Dapoxiang village in Wenshui, Guizhou province, weren't too impressed when their teacher admonished them for making little effort with their studies.

Fearing a beating from their parents, the lads decided to hit the road and left home on Nov 26.

Last Tuesday local traffic police in Qijiang county, Chongqing municipality, received a report saying the two youngsters might be in the county.

Later that afternoon the adventurous pair were found on a highway and brought back to a local police station.

Their parents picked them up the next day.
