A man from Xiangfan, Hubei province, earns a living off the incredibly loud voice he was blessed with.

Nicknamed "king of yell", Li Xuedong, can hit 127 decibels with a lung capacity of two to three times the volume of the average Joe.

He can even activate car alarms with his air raid siren-like vocals, as happened when he was hired to make announcements at the opening ceremony of a local real estate project in July.

Standing 1.72 m and weighing 80 kg, the 45-year-old's voice is often recruited to liven up promotions and opening ceremonies.

Li first became aware of his powerful vocal chords as a university student.
