Eco warrior suing parents for breach of duty

Yi Geng is so obsessed with saving the planet he would steal money as a child to employ people to clean the streets in Yongchuan, Chongqing municipality,

Now a farmer in Yongchuan district, he began the task himself when he was 10 until a severe headache degenerated into a chronic disease two years later.

From then on, the 22-year-old employed some students to do the cleaning for him and paid them money he stole from home.

Last week, Yi began suing his parents for failing to take him to a better hospital to cure his disease and help him resume his care for nature.

Kang Houzhen, Yi's mother, said that the family was poor and could only afford to give him Chinese medicine.
