Family rejects young son's love of middle-aged woman

A young man driven out of home after falling in love with a middle-aged woman has gained right of access to the house via the courts.

Lu, 25, who has no job and lives together with his parents, fell in love with Liu, aged in her later 40s, last year.

He wanted to bring her to live together with his family but his father strongly refused.

The judge of a Beijing court said Lu should learn to be independent rather than relying on his parents' support.

But because he has no means with which to look after himself, Lu was permitted to stay with his parents for a year.
