According to a source with the Communist Party of China committee of Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture of Bayingolin, there were four people in the car at the time.

Leung Nang Shing from Hong Kong and Ning Xiaoyan, an 18-year-old girl from Henan, died despite doctors' efforts.

The driver, Leung's son, and Deng Hongling, a native of Sichuan Province, were transferred to the regional capital Urumqi for better medical treatment.

Local police said an initial investigation shows speeding caused the car to flip over. The speed limit is 60 kilometers per hour but the car reached 100 kilometers per hour when the accident happened, police said.
