Young man feeling family pressure to find a wife

A 26-year-old man was recently forced to solicit women for marriage after receiving an "ultimatum" from his parents in Shenzhen special economic zone.

Mo, from Guigang in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, told potential wives he really needed to marry within a year according to orders issued by his parents.

If he didn't tie the knot before turning 28, he would violate his family ancestors' instructions.

Mo said this infraction would see him denied the chance to offer sacrifices to ancestors during the Qingming festival and other family outings if he didn't live up to family expectations.

Mo is now employed in a factory in the city's Nanshan district where he continues his urgent search.
