Youths dueling over girl's affections intercepted

Police in Xi'an, Shanxi province, broke up a duel between teenagers who planned to fight for the love of a girl.

Li and Xue, both 16, fell in love with the same girl and agreed to fight for her on the night of Nov 21.

For fear of being beaten, Li brought along a 40-cm knife along with three friends.

When Xue arrived for the scheduled duel, patrolling police noticed the boys' suspicious behavior and took them in for further questioning.
