Pigs spill from overloaded lorry to block expressway

Forty-five pigs fled in every direction on a highway after an overloaded lorry literally burst on an expressway in Xinyang, Henan province, on Nov 23.

Traffic of the Xinyang section of the Beijing-Hong Kong expressway returned to normal an hour later after local police co-operated with villagers to drive away all the oinkers.

The lorry, with a loading capacity of just 1.73 tons, was carrying more than seven tons of swine at the time.
