Official: CPC to further ties with Russian Communist Party

MOSCOW -- The Communist Party of China (CPC) values the friendly relations with the Communist Party of Russia and will constantly promote bilateral ties by adhering to existing principles, a senior CPC official said.

Wu Zhenjun, a CPC representative for the Russian party's national congress held in Moscow over the weekend, made the remarks during a meeting with Gennady Zyuganov, chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Russia.

The CPC Central Committee has sent a congratulation letter to the congress and hailed Zyuganov's re-election as chairman.

Zyuganov spoke highly of the relationship between the two parties and the two countries, pledging further efforts to develop bilateral ties.
