A woman who had surgery to raise the ridge of her nose is suing the hospital after her cosmetic changes collapsed two months later in Haikou, capital of Hainan province.

A Li (not her real name) spent more than 1,000 yuan ($147) on the procedure at a private hospital in the southern metropolis in March.

But her fake nose grew swollen and discharged puss as the surgical wound began to crack about eight weeks later.

A Li has complained to relevant departments, but the hospital only agreed to provide a reparatory operation free of charge.
