4-year-old survives 4-story plunge unscathed

A 4-year-old boy survived a fall from a 4-story apartment where his parents left him at home alone.

Hearing him cry, a neighbor surnamed Zheng found him lying on a lawn on Monday after plunging from his home in the Qingshuiyuan community of Beijing and fortunately having his fall broken by a second-story awning.

"I called an ambulance to rush him to a hospital where doctors were so surprised at discovering that he had not suffered fatal injuries," Zheng said. "Then he left the hospital later that day after we found his parents."
