Thief arrested in midair during daring getaway

A pickpocket was caught midair by police while escaping from his dorm with a bed sheet that was too short to reach the ground.

Police discovered a gang of three pickpockets after a businessperson from Yanji, Jilin province, had his money stolen and called them for help.

Cops traced the pickpockets to their dorm, where they found two inside and another stranded outside the second-floor window trying to rappel down a bed sheet that didn't quite reach the ground.

Firefighters were called into rescue the third thief before the three were taken away by police.
