Sleeping man falls head first into boiling oil

A man in Songming county, Yunnan province, suffered serious burns to his head after falling into a boiling-oil pan while washing down some barbecue with a few beers.

Surnamed Yao, the local went to eat with friends at a barbecue stall last Tuesday evening.

Feeling tired after drinking a couple of beers, he fell asleep and fell head first into a pan filled with boiling oil.

Doctors who treated him at a local hospital said his injuries were serious and needed further treatment.
