President Hu to attend G20 summit on financial crisis

Updated: 2008-11-04 19:54 BEIJING -- Chinese President Hu Jintao will attend the G20 summit on the financial crisis slated for November 15 in Washington, the Foreign Ministry announced here on Tuesday. "At the invitation of US President George W. Bush, President Hu Jintao will attend the G20 summit on financial markets and the world economy on November 15," spokesman Qin Gang said at a regular press conference. Following the G20 meeting, Hu will visit Costa Rica, Cuba, Peru and Greece from November 16-26. Qin said this will happen at the invitation of the leaders of the four countries. During that time, Hu will attend the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Peru which is on November 22-23. |
