ZHUHAI -- The Airbus A380, the world's largest passenger jet, landed at Zhuhai Airport on Monday for the 7th China International Aviation and  Aerospace Exhibition, which is taking place from November 4 to 9 in the south China city of Zhuhai, Guangdong Province.

The aircraft that appears at the show is an Airbus development with a manufacturer's serial number (MSN) 001. A380 MSN 001 will be on display and perform a daily demonstration flight from November 4 to 7.

It is the second visit by the A380 MSN 001 to China. It was one of the two aircrafts that Airbus sent in May to transport 2,000 tents procured by the Chinese Embassy in France to Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, after the devastating May 12 earthquake.

MSN 001 performed the ever first A380 flight on April 27, 2005. Having   flown for more than 1,600 flight hours, it has been used to do a series of technical tests on the quality and performance of the aircraft.

Nine A380s have been delivered to Singapore Airlines, Emirates and Qantas.   It is expected that A380 aircraft will be delivered to China Southern Airlines at the end of of 2009.
