Archaeologists unearth wig-wearing musicians

Archaeologists recently found five pottery figures of wig-wearing musicians in an ancient tomb built some 1,500 years ago.

The tomb in a southern suburb of Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, and the five occupants were all damaged.

During repairs, the archaeologists surprisingly found that all the musicians were wearing wigs and colorful decorations.

According to archaeologists, wigs came into vogue during the Qin Dynasty (221 - 206 BC).
