British groom rides a white horse to get wed

Zhu Lihong, a woman from Tianjin municipality, and her British fianc married on Sunday in traditional Chinese fashion.

The idea was Zhu's fianc's, having seen and been dazzled by the grand Beijing 2008 Olympics opening ceremony.

The couple traveled separately to the hotel where their nuptials took place, Zhu in a sedan chair carried by eight people and her spouse-to-be on a magnificent white stallion.

There they paid ceremonial obeisance to Heaven and Earth, to their parents and to one another, according to Chinese folk-custom.
